Dental fillings are used to treat cavities after the decayed part of the tooth is taken out. The fillings could be formed of gold, porcelain, amalgam, or composite materials. There are differences between them which include expenses and durability. The indirect fillings are used when the tooth needs more than a filling but is not quite damaged enough to need a crown. There are two types of indirect fillings available: inlays and on-lays.
